PAWS

I am committed to not only finding humans a safe and happy home, but our four-legged community members as well. This is why I volunteer and support PAWS – a local organization whose mission is to place pets in a forever home. PAWS is located in Lynnwood with a satellite adoption center in the U District.

According to their website, PAWS has united more than 130,000 animals with families and has cared for 115,000 injured and orphaned wild animals. They are a champion for animals and focus on education to make the world a better place for us all.

I have been involved with PAWS in a number of ways –  I have hosted a booth at the PAWS walk and have participated in the Woodland Park Zoo auction. I have also contributed to the dog show and am working on an annual pet food drive in Magnolia.

If you have been thinking about how you can give back, I highly encourage you to give them a call. They accept donations of time, money, and items such as dog food or toys and other things on their wish list. PAWS is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Here is a list of a number of ways you can help.
